  • Clay Mitt

I did my first claying a few weeks ago and thought I did a pretty good job. I just did the baggy test and noticed I missed a lot. I didn't want to press too hard but noticed my mitt would not make all areas glassy.

Now being that my car is a daily driver and street parked, I didn't expect perfection in one shot.

My question is will using a fine grade mitt over time (second or third time) be equal to what a medium grade mitt can do? I noticed no marring and everything went smooth, so I don't want to push my luck just yet.

I have a DA buffer coming but don't want to use it with that much embedded dirt.

It may require another pass. From personal experience, clay will pick up more than a clay mitt or clay towel. Try going over the are with clay and see if the contaminant is removed.

My thoughts exactly. The mitts are quick and easy, but not as thorough as actual clay, in my opinion.

Id use real clay, the mitts are a lesser option, actual clay is the real thing
