  • Ultimate liquid wax for trim and windows?

I see that ultimate liquid wax is SAFE for plastic trim, but I've read a few comments of folks who use it specifically FOR plastic trim and vinyl - they say it darkens and conditions!

If I decide to wax my wife's SUV with ULW, what is the consensus that I can just use it for all the plastic and glass as well (so I can save on other stand-alone products). I'm not looking for absolute perfection with the plastic trim and windows, but just something that will make it look pretty good. Would ULW fit the bill?

I saw this youtube video of a professional detailer rave about Ultimate Xpress Wax (pro version of ult. quick wax i believe) in how it pretty much cleaned everything outside and inside a vehicle (range rover), including the windows, seats and dash. Isn't ULW pretty much the same formula as UQW, just in a different liquid consistency?

I use ULW on all the exterior of my vehicles. I don't use it on the glass as I don't want anything on the glass that might impact visibility at some point in the future. Not that I haven't tried it on glass but I find that I like the glass clean and unaltered.

Does it make the trim look better?

UQW will make trim look better but it won't restore plastic trim.

If the trim is clean and in good condition, ULW will give it a nice sheen and for me it lasts longer than most dedicated vinyl protectors in my arsenol. It dries and so doesn't leave an oily residue to run down on the pain in the rain as I've seen some product do. It also does not dry white and looks good even on textured vinyl. It is not a cleaner though so be sure to clean the vinyl before use. IMO, it protects well and lasts much longer than most of the dedicated products I've used in the past. UQW (D156) is another product I use weekly on the paint and vinyl trim.
