  • What is the best lube for Clay?

I know different companies sell a lot of different kinds. I have heard that soap and water work fine, as well as other home remedies.

    What is the best/Safest?

From Meguiar's collection you could use: Quik Detailer, M34 Final Inspection or D155 Last Touch Spray Detailer (the last one diluted with water 1:1, which would give you the least expensive, long lasting clay lube option).

I have used M34 Final Inspection for clay lube since 1998.

Very recently I've been using a rinse less wash product diluted 2 Oz to a gallon of water. I believe Meguiar's D114 is a similar product, and the one I'll be picking up next.
