  • Care questions for new black car

Hi, I'm new to the forum. I previously had a black Audi A4 that I didn't take great care of except to wash every few months. I recently purchased a 2013 black MB SL550 that was just detailed to eliminate swirl marks. It's a gorgeous car, and I plan on taking much better care of it.

My question is will it be ok to use ONR to wash the car. I live in CA and we're still under drought water restrictions but I want to make sure I don't damage the paint.

    Thanks for any help.

Welcome! Are you referring to Optimum No Rinse? I don't believe that is a product made by Meguiars.

Meguiars makes two excellent rinseless products: D114 and D115.

    D114: http://www.meguiars.com/en/professio...-express-wash/

    D115: http://www.meguiars.com/en/professio...wax,-1-gallon/

Both would be great to use to wash your car.

D114 is a versatile rinseless wash. It leaves nothing behind on the paint. D115 leaves a wax behind. I've done mostly rinseless washes over the past two years with D114 here in CA.

      ONR is made by optimum.

I was referring to Optimum No Rinse specifically (since I recently purchased some before joining MOL), but any rinseless wash in general.
I guess since I joined MOL, I should keep my questions to Meguiars products!

By the way, I found how to upload a few pictures of my car (the night it was brought home and before being detailed).http://archive.meguiarsonline.com/fo...n_IMG_2014.JPG
