  • After Wax Cleaning?

This weekend I will be doing the trifecta: Ult. Compounding, Ult. Polishing, and Then ULW(Unless UPW is better)

After I do the final buff off the wax at the end, is it recommended to do anything after that to the paint? What I mean is, I hear a lot of people then go over the paint with a Detailer or UQW to pic up any left over residue on that paint.

Should I do this as a regular practice, and does it make a nice difference to the final showing?

    Thanks All!

If you're asking if you need to use UQD and/or UQW immediately after ULW, I'd suggest the answer is no, IMO.

It's known as a final wipe. It's personal preference. Either product will work fine as they are both intended to work with ultimate wax. UQW will add more protection than UQD.

Is a final wipe down good for reducing the static charge a car may get during wax removal?

Some people like doing a final wipedown with D155 Last Touch. I don't. But if I were to, I'd choose Last Touch over anything else because it doesn't have any wax or hydrophobic properties of its own to interfere with the layer of wax/sealant I just put down. M34 Final Inspection would be another choice.

I always start off with a bucket of water and Gold Class soap. when I've gone through paint correction, polish, and wax, I finish the job with a fresh bucket of water and Gold Class soap to wash off any wax dust or any wax that was left behind after wiping. When you dry with a clean microfiber, it should look perfect.
