Would an all-in-one, such as the new Mirror Bright polishing wax, be a good product to use to clean up and bring up the gloss on a new vehicle?

Sure it can. An AIO does clean, polish and protect.

      Re: AIO functionality

I wondered if it might be a poor choice due to the whole "least abrasive first" thing. I've heard that some AIO's can be pretty abrasive.

So, could I use an AIO a couple times a year on a new vehicle without worrying about the clear? Not that I plan on doing so. Just getting a feel for limits. By the way, Guz- I appreciate all your input on these forums as I'm learning about this process. I'm totally new to machine polishing. I really get into my hobbies and like to learn as much as I can. Ha and I don't even have my polisher yet. Ordered it last week. So, more questions to come!

        Re: AIO functionality

AIO's in general don't last that long so it is often recommended to use one 3-4 times a year. Mirror Bright and M20 are synthetic AIO's so they last longer. So one may not need to use them 3-4 times a year. Perhaps a couple times a year. It all comes down to the surrounding environment. AIO's which have abrasives in them are not as aggressive as say a dedicated product. For example a compound or polish. The aggressiveness comes mostly from the pad that is used with the AIO.

Have you considered getting yourself a paint gauge so that you know how much clear your car has?
