  • Which wax do you prefer

I know there is no correct answer to this question, but here goes...I'm curious to know which wax everyone prefers: GC liquid, GC paste, NXT liquid, or NXT paste. I know there are other waxes sealants, polymers, etc, so feel free to state your opinion on those products as well.

When answering, be sure to indicate your pre-wax steps, your method of application/removal, as well as the condition and color of your car.

    I'll start:

    Vehicle: 2005 Mustang GT; Black
    Condition: Excellent (New)

Wash: NXT wash, sheet water, dry with Water Magnet

Cleaning, Polish, Waxing: Clay (if needed), apply DC1, DC2, NXT Tech liquid. All are applied by hand using the Gold Class Hi-Tech Foam Applicator pads and removed using Superior Shine Microfiber towels. I've only detailed this car once so I only did one coat of NXT Wax.

Comments: I like this wax becuase it is easy to apply/remove and leaves a deep gloss on my black vehicle. It hasn't been on the car long nough for me to comment on it's durability.

Vehicle: 2003 Dodge Dakota 4x4; Black
Daily driver, No garage, No shade to speak of, No garage queen here.
    Condition: Above Good below Excellent
Wash: Nxt or Gold Class. sheet water , California water blade, and the Absorber.
    Cleaning; Clay bar if needed.
    Polish; #82 sfp
    Waxing/sealing; #20 toped w/ nxt toped w/ #26
    Application method; G-100, w/ w-8006 polishing and w-9006 waxing/sealing.
    Removal; Hand, Meguiar's microfiber.

This veh get detailed once every 3-4 or more months(mostly more), washed every week.

I love #20 for the wet look it gives Black and toped with Nxt gives it an unbelievable depth and clarity. the #26 was just to see what the longevity would be like, so far I like it. The #26 was the first time I used this product. Next time I'm going to try #21 as a stand alone to see how long it will stand up to what I do now.
