Clay Bar the entire vehicle, recommendations for next step, and top coat needed

Today I clay barred my entire FJ Cruiser, it was the 1st time it had ever been done and even though its garage kept and washed/waxed frequently it was still filthy.
So the roof is the most neglected area and was the toughest to get clayed. I ran outta daylight after I clayed the entire truck, and rewashed it.

So i shammy dried it and its ready for the next step. Everything except the roof looks ready for wax, but the rood has some dead paint that needs removed still.

I have used in the past, and have some Meguiars Ultimate Compound as the next step prior to waxing, but sometimes find it leaves my Arctic White FJ slightly hazy even after I finish with Meguiars Carnauba Wax. I have never tried the Ultimate Polish before, maybe thats why I get the haziness?

So my question is should I use this first on a terry cloth random orbital applicator

Then top it with this applied by hand

Depends on the machine you Are planning to use

A polish refines the finish after a compound and eliminates any hazing.

What type of machine are you using with these terry cloth bonnets? We would imagine the terry cloth bonnets are likely contributing to you getting a slight haze after applying Ultimate Compound. A foam pad or bonnet is going to be ideal for applying our Ultimate Compound, Polish, or Wax. We would imagine you would not get any haze when applying with foam, especially on a white colored car.

Meguiar's Ultimate Polish does have mild cleaning ability along with polish, which will work to remove haze from your compound step, while developing a high gloss. But again, foam to apply is ideal.

OK, I will switch over to a foam applicator. My current random orbital terry cloth bonnet applicator doesnt have optional heads. So I will need an ideal foam polisher. Please recommend a battery operated (if available) foam pad applicator. Should I use a random orbital or standard rotating buffer style applicator?

I bought the Meguiars DA Power System, Ultimate Polish, Ultimate Wax and some extra pads for it. I will try and finish it up after the next warm weather we have. My truck is dirty again, since I couldnt resist trying out my new 33 inch tires and lift kit today!
