  • Ultimate Liquid Wax expiration date

I was going over what I was going to make my daughters car winter sealant and noticed I had 2 bottles of ULW.

I grabbed them to shake and see how much was left in each. The emptier one sounded runnier than the other.
I pretty sure the runny bottle with a couple ounces left is 4 years old. The other is 2 years old.
They are always in 60-70 degree areas
So being curious I dumped some on my table and wasn't happy. I also did the other and it looks like it might be prone to do the same. It's already has a watery outline.

    Is this common?
I used the rest of the separated bottle on my garage counter top and it seemed to work.

Yea, something about that pic just doesn't look right. Lol.

Was the newer bottle of wax new and sealed?

I've seen some mention tossing a metal bearing into a bottle and shaking it. It's supposed to help with reconstituting the product.

Nope the second bottle was opened for a year. I probably opened the second one when my brother helped me with our sisters CR-V.

        The thickness was completely gone.
Before using a ball bearing Mike I would put it in a blender (lol)...there wasn't any solids in it.

After your post I ran out to the garage and grabbed the empty bottle.
If it offers the same protection, I don't care if it's runny or not.

I don't want to hit walmart and open a box, then bottle to check if I should buy it.

Wait so you're saying to load up the blender with Ultimate Wax that way it'll make cleaning it easier? Brilliant! Never thought of that. I'll go that now. Lol. J/k

            Well....not exactly.
But what I am saying is this will no longer be my go to wax for getting something on that is easy wipe on/ wipe off, durable protection.
Collinite 845 will be the one but doesn't offer the same looks.

I like the fact ULW has no cure time like Blackfire, WolfGang or Menzerna which makes it a favorite.....or use to.
I may use the remainder during winter after rinseless washes as a boost instead of D156. If it was just a little runnier I could put it in a spray bottle...darn

After searching I found a lot of posts pertaining to this phenomena.
What I didn't find was an explanation why it happened. The old bad batch excuse would work for me.
