White Wax

I just ran out on my Cleaner Wax (Mirror Glaze) and will buy another Meguiars wax soon. Since my car is silver, I am considering the new White Wax. How is this White Wax compared to Cleaner Wax?

I am getting lazy so I only clay once a year, after the winter. I usually alternate between ULW and Cleaner Wax

It has more cleaning power and is more durable than Ceaner Wax. It should fit in nicely to your regime.,

We would agree, White Wax will have more cleaning ability and more durability. Light colors respond really well to products with cleaning ability. The cleaners work to produce a high gloss or make the paint "pop."

And Holy Cow do I have to say something about White Wax. I am so sorry I don't have any photos to show from today's detail I did. But man I like this stuff alot! Like some of you have said, this Wax is not just for White cars, but any color cars. I think this is a GREAT cleaner wax!

Today I detailed my Aunts Navy Blue Camry. I was looking for a real good AIO, so I could keep it at a one step process. You guys had recommended White Wax, which surprised me, because I only thought it was for White cars. But you guys said it has really good cleaning properties for an AIO. The car had a lot of light scratches around it, I think because my Aunt takes it to the local car washes, and those damn rollers probably scratch her car all up.

Anyway, the AIO took pretty much all of them out and left a beautiful bright shine to the car. Then to just top things off a bit, I used Ultimate Quick Wax which really set it off nicely. My Dad was impressed by the reflections on the car. This stuff has a great One/Two punch to it man. Great Cleaning/Great Shine.

Thankyou guys for recommending this wax to me. I think this is turning out to be a great Daily Drive One Step Wax. But, for making money wise, I am wondering if I need to get the Gallon of D151. I'm not sure how they compare at all in results and also cost-efficiency?

I'd weigh it out like this: How often would you be buying White Wax? Would you go through 3 tubes of White Wax in a reasonably quick amount of time? That would be the cost of D151.

D151's protection won't last as long as White Wax, but it will have a bit more correcting power. Not really much of an issue if you are topping it with Ultimate Quick Wax or D156.

I actually feel that I used too much product on the car. So as a learning lesson, I know I could use less next time, and Still, I have a darn good amount left in the tube. So for $10 a pop for a tube It really wouldn't hurt too much at all for me to just buy the tubes right now. I do have cars lined up, but I probably don't have enough lined up to buy a gallon. That seems like A LOT of Wax, but you guys who have detailed longer know better than me. Maybe I'll be good either way I go.

I'm just happy you guys introduced me to this stuff!

Just to add to the discussion, it's been stated that white wax has the same abrasives that are found in M101. Thus the ability to correct very well. It is also pad dependent. For example using it on a cutting pad as if it was a compound takes advantage of it's correcting ability.

Can I get some advice on my scenario :
After every weekly car wash now on my white car, I need to use the cleaner wax to remove some dirt spot and tear drops marks and then using a NXT Spray Wax to end it. This wax are only used to remove specify spots not a full car detailing.

Option 1 - Cleaner Wax
Option 2 - White Wax

Will I be removing too much paint or damage the car faster by using White wax on a weekly basis to remove those spots vs Cleaner wax which is lesser abrasive ?

Maroon bottle Cleaner wax will be less abrasive than white wax (a more aggressive cleaner wax).

Use the least abrasive first- in your case, I'd try using detail spray for spot cleanups instead of using a cleaner wax every time. That said, maroon bottle cleaner wax is very mild and you can apply as often as you want.

I wouldn't be using cleaner wax to remove dirt from the surface. You will just be grinding it into the paint at that point. I would use as suggested above and use a quick detailer to cleanup any drips after washing.

If there is anything after removing the dirt itself, then I would use something like cleaner wax or white wax to remove a blemish.
