  • Ultimate Quik Wax - Sealing in Contaminants?

I detailed my car recently by giving it a wash, claying, polishing and applying two coats of Ultimate Liquid Wax. Now I plan to use Ultimate Quik Wax after every wash.

My question is this - will using Ultimate Quik Wax without claying just seal in any bonded contaminants? The washing process does not always remove all contaminants as we know.

If you are consistent with your wash regimen then it will greatly reduce the amount of bonded contaminates over time compared to not washing regularly.

There might be some here and there, but claying every time you wash isn't exactly cost or time effective and will most likely remove the ULW.

The amount of contaminates that would get sealed in are few and far between. UQW is meant as a booster for in between those months that you actually need to clay and then re-apply ULW. In the long run it will also help keep stuff from bonding as well.
