  • Best Cheap Light To View Scratches/Swirls

Hi guys, I recently washed my car with what appears to be a contaminated wash mitt so now I have select spots where there are very light swirl/scratches. I'm doing this by hand with ScratchX 2.0, ultimate polish and then topping with Black Wax. I've already done the trunk, but having a light will make completing the sides much easier since its a much larger area.

Is there a cheap light option on the market so I don't have to go to parking lot and look crazy pulling my car into and out of the shade? Lol
These scratches are only visible in direct sunlight.

    Thanks!

An LED flashlight works. Costco has a snap on LED light that is pretty good.

Cool. I didn't know if over the counter LED lights would provide enough power. I'll give that a try

      Thanks.

I use this light from Lowes:http://www.lowes.com/pd_569177-51336...led+flashlight
The lumens aren't all that bright at 290, but the zoom/focus feature makes it very easy to inspect paint.

I would suggest the brightest headlamp you can afford. A headlamp leaves your hands free to work. I used one for years in my dark garage before I upgraded the lighting in there.

Best type of light for the side of a car in my opinion. Get a dual light if you can afford it.
