I have quite a few chips/imperfections on my hood and roof. After going over the areas with a DA using LC Foam pads and both Megs UC and UP I was unable to remove them. I then went with the Dr Colorchip touch-up paint system, which after having spoken to the owners it was determined that they might not be deep enough to hold the paint.
So I seem to have imperfections that are too shallow to hold touch-up but too deep to be removed by compound. Since the touch-up didn't work I suppose I will have to try compounding again or just live with it as is. My first attempt was not very aggressive at all as I am a novice though it did a great job of removing swirls and such.
My question is should I attempt a more aggressive compounding and if so, how should I go about it ?
I'll just add, the car looks 1000X better since using the Megs UC and UP but I'd like to get it as close to perfect as I can. Also the Dr Colorchip is an excellent product in that the chips that were workable came out very good and the staff were very receptive and helpful to my concerns.
Thanks....

And just to show how different lighting visually affects the imperfections.... at times they are very visible and others not at all.
