  • Typing issues when starting a thread and replying to comments

Now before anyone thinks I'm crazy this is happening on 5 computers; my old one, my in-laws (2 of their home computers and 1 of their office computers), and now my new laptop. That tells me it's not our computers. It's been happening for several months and so much so that I've almost quit visiting this site. ISP's are different, so that's not the cause.

What is happening is as I type letters are being skipped and/or have to strike letters 2-3 times, both when starting a thread, using the reply tab, and using quick reply. Is anyone else having similar issues?

MOL is the only forum that this is happening.

(Took me about 8 minutes to type this where normally would only take a minute or two.)

I have had no problems. What browser are you using? I have no issues when using it with IE11 or Firefox.

I have no problem such as yours, on two home PCs, the office PC, and laptop. Keying is no problem. What annoys me about this site is page loading times, waiting for google ads, or waiting for trafficbuzz, or waiting click track, or waiting for a bunch of other tracking sites that track usage on this site.

I used to have the problem a few months ago. Then it just stopped one day. No idea why though...

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

Take a look at the bottom of ALL the different thread topics to the, "problems with the forum" topic.

Maybe there is something there for ya.

Gotta say, this is highly unusual. I post to here from a variety of devices (work laptop, home desktop, tablet, even my phone on occasion) using Chrome, Firefox and IE and I've never had the problem. A definite known issue with the vBulletin software, however, is it's inability to translate certain "special characters" created in another program which are then copied and pasted into the text dialog box. They claim that this current version is supposed to be much better at importing MS Word docs but we see that the opposite is true. For example, if I were to compose a post in Word and include the word Meguiar's, then copy and paste, the apostrophe created in Word will "break" the input and truncate the message at that point.
