  • Topping fresh coat of wax with spray wax?

    Hey guys,

So I'm going to detail my brother's car tomorrow and I'm planning on using the Gold Class Liquid Wax as the base coat, but wanted to know if I can put either the GC spray wax or the Ultimate Quik Wax over the base wax coat. Are there any tips/techniques to do this properly (like wiping it very gently as to not remove the base coat)? Or do I just use it as I normally would? Is there a waiting period between the base coat and spray wax or can it go on immediately after I finish waxing?

That would be more like just doing the 2 coats of wax as a base for the future.

It would be nice to wait as long as possible between the coats. Say 30 minutes or more, but the longer the better.

Detailers refer to this as a final wipe. You will be fine.
