  • Polymers, curing time?

I am rather new to Meguars Products, but so for i am very happy with it!
Just have a question about polymer and curing time.

I noticed that on the back of my Ultimate Quik Detailer it was stated that maximum protection (or something like that" was after the polymers had crosslinked after 12 hours.
Does this curing time apply to all products that has this technology? Ultimate Quik wax, Ultimate Liquid Wax ect?

After the product has been applied, will using the car before it has cured affect the result? Or if it rains?

I believe that all the products you mentioned have the 12 hour cure time.

Using the car within 12 hours is fine, whereas rain may affect the products' properties slightly.

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

So if i use the UQD it would not be recommended to use UQW before 12 hours?

I have just read that people say that they use UQD and then UQW. Im guessing that they use it right after each other.
So i was just wondering if applying another product before curing time was ok

That's not generally a common thing to do.

But yes, you can and it will be fine. It's easy to over-think these things

Use the QD to remove light dust and use the spray wax to add protection such as a drying aid after washing the car.

It's common for a detailer to use a final wipe with a spray wax upon delivering a vehicle that was just waxed.

Im going to use Ultimate liquid Wax for the first time now.
Should i let the car be in my garage until the curing time has passed to make sure it will perform at its best?
How about time in between for example a second layer?

Wouldn't hurt to leave it in the garage overnight. 12 hours in between coats will be fine.
