  • M80 Speed Glaze and yellow pads for sale anymore?....what's the equivalent now?

    Hi all,

I recently purchased a black vehicle(2015 Dodge Ram) again after not having one for many years. Being black and showing everything, the spider marks and swirls get on my nerves and I think its time to jump back in the detailing game. I still have the porter cable DA polisher and some of the meguiars pads in a box in the garage. I have the meguiars black pads, a couple of the white pads, and a couple of orange ones. I don't think the orange and white pads are from meguiars. The orange is pretty stiff and seems like it would be used for some heavy duty cutting. I remember using the yellow pads for most of what I did but I couldn't find any of those. I can't find them online anymore either. Does meguiars still sell those? If not what is the equivalent pad to use in its place? I also don't see speed glaze for sale anymore. I used to love that stuff. What is the equivalent for that now? Doing a little research, maybe M205 or the swirl remover 2.0?

So I guess I'm asking if those two products aren't available anymore what would you all recommend using in their place to get the swirls out of a brand new black Dodge pickup? Also, what wax/sealant would you recommend following that up with? Thanks so much!

M80 has been discontinued. This is a good reference about replacement pads.

M205 is a great polish. For a sealant I would recommend NXT or ultimate wax. For a wax I would recommend M26.

I know everybody is raving about the new thin pads, but the original foam pads aren't now discontinued are they?

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

I believe they have been phased out.
