  • Cleaning and restoring wiper blades

    Hi everyone,

I wanted to ask if you know some tricks about proper cleaning and maybe restoring the rubber of the wiper blades.
I live in a very hot region and the sun is drying the wiper blades so i need the change them frequently.
    Will "Ultimate Black" work?
    Thank's!

Ultimate Black or any other dressing may smear on the windshield when the wipers are used.

I just clean them every time I wash the car, and then wipe them with a cloth dampened in UQW / D156.

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

      M40 might work without smearing...
Generally I just like to use a bit of APC on a towel to wipe the blades and just leave them alone.

Wiper blades are relatively inexpensive. I just replace them. you can buy them on-line at a discount or at your auto dealership. My experience has been that the auto dealership blades are fresher and seem to last longer. IME, worn blades don't seem to react to rubber treatments well. Once they are dried out and harden they are pretty much done.

I clean mine every wash with glass cleaner and a towel to remove any dirt build up on the rubber. I replace them when needed.
