Hi,
So i recently sealed my car using PP365, and while it yielded amazing results in its hydrophobic qualities, it also made my application pads, VERY hydrophobic. I've handwashed in hot water and detergent squeezing them thru and thru, continuously until i gave up, and the pads still feel like they're caked in the PP365... Its obviously doing its job in rejecting any water, which is great for the car, but not so good for the pads.
I also used some of my more expensive MF's to buff off the 365.
I have not put them in the machine yet, wondering if i should be pre-soaking them with anything special... Handwashing the pads with regular detergent in hot water, and my hands even became hydrophobic... So not convinced a machine wash is going to do much.
Best stuff out there IMHO at keeping water off things, BUT the downside to that is getting the product off any cleaning pads or MF's you used.
I have Towel Kleen specially formulated for MF's that i can try on a machine... But putting this out there, as I'm sure Megs thought about this when making this product.
I don't mind if need be in future sacrificing a couple of Kirkland MF's ($16 for 32) and a couple of application pads, but it would mean i'd have to apply by hand rather than using my megs 5" foam wax pads, which are considerably more expensive than some less expensive foam applicators.
