  • What pads to use with my g110v2 since the soft buff 2.0 have been discontinued?

I hate to say it but I am a bit tweaked off at Megs right now. Needed to order some more yellow softbuff 2.0 pads and I cant because they are all discontinued. Not only that but I am told my current backing plate wont work with anything new so I need a new one of those as well so I might as well just trash all my maroon and black pads as well since it will be a pain in the tail to change backing plates all the time. Looking for a solution even if it means trashing the g110 also. Doesnt help that I also found out all purpose cleaner + also is discontinued. Cant stand the smell of the regular APC stuff.

Our apologies for any frustration caused by the transition from our Soft Buff 2.0 pads to our new Thin Foam Discs, but we know that you'll love the performance gain provided by these new thin discs. You'll also notice the G110v2 transforms into a smoother operating tool with the new discs. Plus, you'll gain the option of using the burgundy disc without fear of heavy haze. In fact, it usually finishes out incredibly well, especially with compounds like M100 and M101. These new discs are a massive step up in every regard over the Soft Buff 2.0 pads.

Personally, I'm so confident that you'll love these so much that I'm willing to do a bit of a favor for you. Shoot me a private message or email me and I'll personally send you a new 5" backing plate designed for use with the 5" thin discs (nominally 5.5" diameter) so you don't need to worry about that expense.

You will enjoy the new pads. I tried them out with the PC which is closely related to the G110 and it completely transformed that machine.

I would take up Mr. Stoops on that great offer.

I made the switch to the new thin pads in May. I'm surprised how much of a difference it made. Sooo smooth and easy to handle through contours. if you detail regularly, its worth the cost of upgrading.

Well its been a month, It was a nice thought but stoops never followed through. I bought 16 new pads from amazon but no backing plate showed up from mr stoops so I am returning my pads and will be phasing out all of my megs stuff. The guys over at auto geek turned me on to some companies that actually have customer service follow through. Thanks

I didn't forget..... I'm looking into what happened to the order I put through for the material. I got the PM (two, in fact, one minute apart!) from Denali with his address so trust me, I'm just as frustrated as you are. At this point I'm going to just grab some new-in-package material from our training garage and send that out instead.
