Re: Any experience with cleaning Toyota "soft tex" leather?
Do your test spot on this Ceramiclear, Ric. Often times these are crazy hard and require a pretty aggressive process to correct. The SLS AMG Gullwing we had in our booth as SEMA last year, and subsequently buffed our fully when we got back to Irvine, has Ceramiclear paint and it's crazy hard. We used the MT300 with microfiber cutting discs and M100 on it, and it came out absolutely gorgeous. We've also seen black Benzes that hazed a bit under heavy correction, even with Ceramiclear paint, but they tend to clean up pretty easily after that. Don't let any sort of anecdotal evidence you've read online (including my own comments here - those reflect experience on a particular car only) as gospel because that just isn't the case. The car you will be working on is the car you'll be working on, it's not the one I worked on, or the one someone else worked on, that behaved in a certain way. You need to discover what this particular car wants before you get too deep into it.
