  • What to use??

2004 dodge ram, 13000 miles, graphite mettalic(kinda like charcoal color) paint in excellent condition. Question is what should I use to realy make it pop out?

Here is what products I have on hand:
    g-100
    polishing pad, finishing pad
    microfiber towel
    deep crystal car wash
    quick clay
    #80,#83, #9, #7
    Deep crystal #1, #2, #3
    Gold class wax
    Nxt wax
    Final inspection
    quick detailer
    sratch x
    cleaner wax

Your thoughts are most welcome. I want to make sure I am doing it right the first time!!

Sounds liek you have everything you need.. though you may have doubled up on some products. If you plan to use the DA, then the DC products may be a bit repetetive.

You want to go wash, clay, clean, polish wax.

So, you would use your car wash, then quick clay, then #83, then #80 if you need the extra refinement. Then your wax. Using he quick detailer, and quick waxes in between full details. Incidently, you may use #83 the first time for the extra cleaning, and then be able to use #80 most of the time in between a seasonal cleaning.

If your truck isn't terribly swirled or full of scratches, you can try starting with #80 on the W-8006 polishing pad. Follow that up with #7 on the W-9006 finishing pad. Finally 2 coats of NXT via hand or G-100 application. Wait about 12 hours between coats.

        Hello,

I thought #80 already contained as much TS oils as #7.

Why do we need to top #7 on top of #80?

#7 will add a touch more depth than #80 alone, this is especially true on darker colored vehicles. #81 is also a great pure polish to use after #80.

As Murr1525 said you really have a good collection of products!

travisdecpn said start with #80, I have #80 and I am VERY happy with the product and results I get with it. Check out the surface and see what you want to do... Start with #83 if its has lots of swirls/light scratches. Meguiars always says start with the least aggressive to get the results you want.

I also like to use a dedicated polish after a cleaner/polish I have always gotten a deeper looking finished product.

All the products you have work well and are great products!

              Your list looks good.

One thing that strikes me is “microfiber towel. It sounds like only one.

If it is only one or two I would strongly suggest getting a few more, one for drying (like the Water Magnet) and a few for product removal, clay lube, Final Inspection, etc.

Some product applicators like the X-3070 High Tech Applicator Pads or X-3080 Even-Coat Applicators would come in handy.

Since you have a G-100 if you feel like splurging a couple Ultimate Bonnets and another polishing pad or two (or three) would also be handy.
