  • My apologies... Utimate Polish not so bad after all

Sorry guys and gals, I wrote some posts about my experience (look them up) with Ultimate Polish and it was not a good experience. Anyway I needed to buff out a little hazing after UC and with nothing better at hand (neighbors car )so I popped a little of UP (older than a year and was frozen in my garage winter of 14)) and that stuff wasn't too bad. Worked as suggested on the label . Buffed out the hazing nicely. . Anyway for some if anyone read my posts about how bad UP was..let it freeze for a year..

Lol that alters the chemicals properties over time. Wouldn't recommend doing that too often.

Glad to hear you got it figured out. Not many have issues with it. You are one of the rare ones who did.

Hey, your first experience with it wasn't the greatest, but it was your experience. While it's always a bit odd to read a negative review or negative comments about a product that most users find to be excellent, what it really goes to show is that not every product works equally well in all circumstances.

A great example is a two car project I worked on a few years back where the compound used was a rock star on the first car but totally unusable on the second. Had that "second car" been my first experience with that particular compound I would have thought it was absolute garbage. Gummy, impossible to wipe off, almost zero work time - just horrible. But I had tons of experience with it, including earlier that same day in the same shop, and to this day the car that it totally failed on (and really, there's no other way to describe the experience) remains the only car that has caused this product to behave in this manner - at least in my experience. Crazy stuff sometimes!

It's always good to give a new product another chance and work on a different paint. I had couple bad first impressions which later turned into good ones. I fell in love with D151 and UC from first sight though.
