I have a question about ultimate compound and waxing after

I used ultimate compound on my sun faded paint and it came back to being glossy again where i can see my face in the paint but then after using uc i put wax over the paint and let it sit in the shade for like 20min i removed the wax and noticed that glossy look was not as intense as it was what can be the problem here? can i just use ultimate compound without applying wax after cause my car looks much better with just using ultimate compound.

Its a 1988 nissan with original paint and the color is hot red.

You need some kind of protectant. UC removes all wax.

You might try using some Ultimate Poilsh then put wax back on.

If that happened I would reach for Ultimate polish to go over the car followed by ultimate liquid or paste wax
This will make it look better than the look of just the UC you liked. The polish will refine the red even more and the ULW or UPW will keep it that way

Sure, but the protection may not last as long as a fully dedicated paste or liquid such as Ultimate Liquid/Paste, NXT 2, or Gold Class.

Agreed. A polish is what gives the paint gloss.

Cleaner waxes remove whatever was applied prior to it. It's the nature of a cleaner wax.

Sure you can use UQW on top of the cleaner wax. You can use it as a stand alone but you will be applying frequently as it's not as durable as a wax or sealant.

I would go with this option and choose either a sealant like ultimate wax or NXT, or a carnauba like M26 or Gold Class. Depends on what is the achieved goal. Looks or protection.
