I have been doing touching up on my cars paint the past week. When I am done how long should I wait to detail by hand or with a DA?

Re: Detailing after touching up.
If the touch ups have been small areas like chip repair then go ahead and have fun with a full on machine polishing and waxing. If, on the other hand, you've been doing larger areas that required spray application of the paint then you're OK to machine polish but hold off on sealing that paint with a wax or sealant for a couple of months. That fresh paint will need some time to outgas and fully cure before waxing.Michael Stoops
