Hi guys. Just joined as im really in need of advice.
I got my car fully resprayed this time last year (and paid top dollar). I was happy with the result despite some minor imperfections. ie. some blistering on the roof. however it became worse over time and brought car back for it to be sorted under warranty which it was no problem. then a couple of months ago the blistering began again on the quarter panel. the guy who painted the car took the car in and repainted the quarter but refused to release the car until i paid him for the work (despite being under warranty).
i was just happy to get my car back and we settled on a price.
parked car up and thought that was the end of it until the sun came out and i realised he had washed the car with a brush or with dirty water. (car was never washed with brush even before respray).
It now looks like car that has been washed with a brush all its life, ive never seen a car so badly marred and scraped (tbh i believe it was intentional).
My question is whats the best way to sort this. i havent touched the car yet as i dont know where to begin. Im afraid of leaving holograms or cutting the paint deeper than neccessary. Do you guys recommend i attempt scrach/swirl removal polishes or should i have the car compounded or wetsanded.
Sorry about the rant and any help appreciated. i cant even face the car since i got it back, its just been parked in the garage since. So frustrating after being so careful washing with mits, 2 bucket method and always keeping it polished and then for this to happen after being left with a 'professional'
