Couple more tips, hope this isn't too late...
        1. Don't use the handle to that polisher. You'll have much better control using your left palm over the head of the polisher than trying to use the supplied screw on handle.

        2. Run the polisher at speed 4.5 when correcting with the microfiber pads. That seems to be the sweet spot from my experience.

Re: -Newbie here- Can this be fixed ?

Ok guys thank you very much I had to buy M105 also because for some reason the M100 wasn't working good for me, maybe because it says that it's for rotary or because my lack of knowledge which i think that was the major problem. Also ended buying some harbor freight pads on my meguiars backplate lol.. And I think I spent a lot more than if had some pro do the job lol.. but anyways, learned a lot and that was the second point So here are my results they are not perfect by any means but I think it looks way better than before. And some scratches I wasn't able to remove them, on the roof it's not as "good" as the hood or trunk because i'm short hehehe..

            The hood

Here you can see the roof how it was looking before the process. I just did only the trunk on this pic.

Here on the fender I have to remove the plastidip overspray after doing the grill lol..

So what do you guys think ?

Thanks a lot for the orientation you guys gave me.

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

This is where you went wrong. Their pads are junk. I recommend you invest in better pads.

                  Wow what a difference!
I think it's safe to say you just increased the value of that car.. Talk about not wasting any time changing the appearance of your new vehicle. Right on!

It'd be cool if you could show the old owner how it looks now. Lol.
Now all you have to do is maintain that finish Great job!

Turned out great! Good job and 105 has a bit of a learning curve to it, at least that's what they say.

Well i did it with the meguiars micro fiber and foam pads, but on Saturday I run out of pads (yeah I screw them lol) and it was very hard to get some quality pads over here, so I said what the hell and bam those hf pads, the orange one, worked very well for that emergency at least they let me finish the car.

Thanks !! Well I found that the easiest for me was Ultimate compound, then M105 and then M100 in that order, also didn't like much M105 because is kinda dusty but it is way less than M100 of course all this is how i see it and my lack of knowledge must be taken in account, probably which i'm pretty sure i didn't use the product correctly lol.

Proper washing techniques will be your best friend in preventing scratches.

Since you are in cali and probably are under water restriction I suggest taking a look into D114 Rinseless wash. It is a great product.

In that case then that would be fine. I thought you were using the HF pads as your main pads.

I'm with Das on using a rinseless wash to remove dust. For very light dust a quick detailer would be fine.

M100/M101/M105 will dust more than usual using it with a microfiber cutting disc. I haven't used M100 but M105 for me dusts more than M101 with foam pads. I don't have M105 in my arsenal anymore since I have M101.

I too had a problem with compound dust on my last project.. I had a spray bottle of D114 availiable, but I didn't use it because I didn't want to risk re installing micro scratches back into the finish by using it as a waterless. [maybe I was just being over cautious] And I sure wasn't about to do a rinseless just to wipe off some dust..

That's when I decided to make M34 Final Inspection my next purchase. It doesn't alter the finish like most Quik Detail sprays do.

You will like M34. Works very well in removing compound dust or polish residue.

D114 as a waterless works fine to remove compound dust or polish residue as well. It was targeted toward the body shop industry.

I misread his statement of dust as he was referring to compound dust and not dust from the environment. But either one would work just fine.
