I would like to nominate the Meguiars Company for Sainthood. What my PC and Ultimate Compound did for my wife's car this weekend is surely a miracle worthy of Sainthood. I like the sound of it... St. Meguiars... the Patron Saint of Detailing.

For Mothers Day my wife wanted me to do a complete detail of her 2008 PT Cruiser. This car has seldom been washed and never waxed to my knowledge. It took me weeks just to do the interior at a few hours a day. I was dreading doing the exterior because I had never used any kind of buffer before, or compound for that matter. Thanks to Saint Meguiars Ultimate Compound and his many followers advice from his forum a miracle was performed. The PT Cruiser was resurrected. The paint has new life, shine and gloss. It is surely a miracle.

Thank you, Saint Meguiars, Patron Saint of Detailing

I know once you finally get a buffer you wonder, why did I wait so long or why was I useing other products that don't work well and make you work like crazy to get small benifits. I suppose you are still looking at that PT cruiser and saying wow I did that. Well now that you got a buffer now the OCD will start and all of your cars and neighbors cars are going to be looking just as good.... Just a warning it happened to me. Like you said it surely is a miracle.

      Bock,

I am afraid you might be right. My neighbor keeps asking me questions about what I did to my wife's car. I guess I'll be doing his car next. I've created a monster!!!

I am not sure if you are calling your buffer, the almighty DA, but it is amazing what you can do with a cheap orbital buffer and UC. If one keeps on top of the little swirls, it is easy to keep a daily driver looking super. I do have that DA drill attachment thing for spot correction, but the cheap orbital buffer is perfect for me. I don't show my two black cars, not a professional detailer, but to the casual observer, both cars look darn good, even under the florescent lights in my garage. Probably tons of flaws a fanatic could find. Good for you take take care of the vehicle, but as good as Saint Meguiars is, be careful, the PT will still not float on water.
