According to Meguiars is that its a blend of carnuba and polymer/synthetic. So that you get the best of both worlds, in the gloss and longer durability.

Synthetics would still outlast a carnauba or hybrid blend. But Mr. Stoops would be the best person to chime in and give us the answer.

TBH for me its practically a non-issue, as my cars would not see more than a month or two without a 'proper' liquid wax applied by DA and buffed off by a MF anyway. But even so, it would be nice to know. Can D115 be as effective as D156 as a spray on wax?

@TheDoc46. It's great isn't it? I usually save the trim for D156 and its own dedicated towel and it makes it look great. I'm sure D115 does too. Plus it's alot less tedious than using an applicator & gel, especially around glass where you have to be careful about applying.

            Quick question,
Can you use a glaze before D156?
