  • For those who use pressure washers: 3GPM vs 2GPM?

I'm pretty well read up on the use of PW for cleaning my car and have lots of hours on gas washers for cleaning around the house and yard. In my experience, GPM is important.

I want to move to a wall mount low pressure electric PW strictly for cleaning my car. I'm looking at 1000psi/3GPM and 1500PSI/2GPM units. They both come out to the same Cleaning Units. I figure I'd be running the 1500PSI unit under it's PSI rating so why bother with it when I can get more GPM at a pressure more suitable for car washing?

My target workflow is to Foam, rinse, wash with mitt, rinse, blow dry. But sometimes I just want to take advantage of my ULW coating and do a good rinse and blow dry with no friction.

For those who use pressure washersfor car washing, which of these two units would you recommend? TIA

I use a 1800 psi / 1.5 GPM unit, but with 75' of hose. Tip pressure is reduced, but still works great. I'm mobile to water savings is a huge plus for me. At 1.5 gpm, i can do 5+ cars on a tank (55 gal)
