  • Question on IronX and Clay Bar

My question if I use IronX should I use it before or after I clay bar, or can I skip clay barring if I use IronX? I am working on a White Infiniti G37 Coupe.

    Thanks

Re: Question on IronX and Clay Bar

I use it after rinsing, before washing myself, just for general cleaning.

If it was real bad, you might want to use after washing. For instance, I use after washing wheels.

But the washing just seems to help me get rid of the tracer better than rinsing. Esp with the TarX tracer...

And yes, still needs clayed, at least if the car needs it.

Use the baggie test to let you know if you need to clay. I would if it hasn't been done awhile.

In regards to iron x the typical method is applying after a wash. Mike Phillips over at autogeek has a write up where he uses ironx before washing. Stating the dirt will help ironx cling. Then he follows up witha rinse and wash. Saves a little time this way.

Thanks Murr and Guz for your replies, I will use IronX before I wash to save a step.
