  • How often should I Wax My Car

Hi everyone! Im asking how often is recomended to wax My car?
It is a brand new 2015 and have been only one wax with ULW and been applying (four) UQW between washings ! It has two months since I apply the ULW. Appearance is incredible and I want to preserve the deep luster of this magnificent wax! better than factory!

ULW is a 4-6 month sealant. But the durability depends on the surrounding environment. A good rule of thumb that has been posted on the forum is that once your quick detailer starts to become grabby, then it's time for another coat of wax. Using UQW as a drying aid or by itself will extend the life of ULW while adding the shine/luster to the paint.

first of all thank you very much for your advice. I currently live in barcelona and it would say that is a normally polluted city ! although there are others that are more . then your recommendation is to put the sealer ULW average every 3 months. And continue the UQW between washings ? to prevent the new paint contamination ?

How are you applying UQW 4 times between washings? Are you using it to maintain your car clean/remove light dust? If so, you should be using Ultimate Quik Detailer instead.

now taking the help of all , almost two months ago I applied the ULW as they pass the washed and although I use the UQW between each somehow shine and softness paint is reduced . I have necessarily to wait in this case two months but that is a total of four months to reapply the ULW ? What do you recommend in order to maintain protection and shine/luster?

Using UQW after every other wash would be fine. Even using it a drying aid after every wash would be another option. It will add some shine, protection and give ULW a little boost to extend it's life just a bit. You can use UQD to remove light dust or fnger prints.

If you think the wax is starting to wear off, just reapply it. No need to wait.

But I'd be looking at why it didn't last very long. Did you do any sort of preparation work to the paint before applying the ULW? You should really clay as a minimum...

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

I agree with Davey, for ANY Last Step Product (LSP) to perform properly, it needs to be applied to a clean surface ... Claying and a good cleaner wax would be a minimum in my opinion.
