  • Hot or Cold water

No-one ever mentions in their 'how to' video's to use hot water. It's always been a long known fact that hot water does a better job at removing dirt and grime from anything and everything. So why isn't it mentioned more ? Is there a reason to not use it?

I'm lucky in the fact that i have a sink in my garage with hot and cold water... So i fill my bucket up with hot water, my rinse bucket with luke warm water, and obviously the hose rinse is cold. I find that it makes it easier to remove dead bugs and what not.

If you find that it works better then by all means do it how you like it.

I always use hot (i say hot, but I can easily put my hand in it) water in the winter. More so just to keep my hands warm. I also have a sink in my garage (how did I ever do without one?!?) so Ill have to try hot water on the bugs this summer.

I'm just surprised that it isn't listed more often than not as a requirement. Or at least as a preferable option. Given it helps. Led me to believe that perhaps there's a reason for it to not be listed.

The chemists in the lab probably have the answer. Do they design the products to be used with only cold water. They'd have to work very hard to design something that wouldn't see a performance increase on hot compared to cold.

Winter or summer my water comes out of the ground so cold I have to warm it up. I never make it hot, but warm is nice. Not sure I would use hot water on a freezing cold vehicle.
