Owning a custom detail shop can be very demanding and rewarding at the same time.
I'm always looking for ways to improve my services.
Well buying the MF DA Correction System was one of those rewarding products.
I have four vehicles in my shop as of now, one being a pretty beat up red Ford Ranger, perfect choice for me to try out my new investment.
I have on hand, a PC, GG6, Flex 3401, a DeWalt 849x and lots of products and pads.
Since opening up my shop full time my go to combo for bad finishes has been using my Flex, LC, CG pads and my trusty m105 and m205.
Sure I have other products but the combo has always given me killer results.
Hoping to to post some pictures at some point but wanted to give my thoughts on the MF six inch cutting pads and the Correction Compound.
First the quality of the pad.
Very well made, the built in interface foam is what makes this pad what it is, great.
The fibers are the perfect size giving an amazing cut, unlike anything I've ever tried.
First I washed and clay barred then my inspection, the paint was horrible to say the least.
Before I ordered the system I read many articles on the combo and watched a few hours of video's to try and grasp what so many of you guys were talking so highly of the new correction system.
As I said , I have a Flex 3401 for those jobs that needs that extra power and forced rotation, I wasn't sure if it was to try the combo using the Flex or my GG6.
After seeing only non-forced rotation DA's using the combo I decided to go with my GG6 and WOW, jaw dropping results.
Being the hood was the worst I decided to try my 2x2 testing area there.
Primed my pad as per what I've learned and started the correction.
I used only three small pea size drops on the pad, plenty for me.
Worked it, four section passes, faster arm speed than I normally move, removed the Correction Compound residue , have to say I was shocked with the results , the paint had a high gloss look to it, pretty much ready for my last step but will use a foam pad and m205 later to see how much a difference it may make, don't see how being how good the paint looks, sure the paint is old and pitted some but all swirls and oxidation was removed.
Not only did if give me better results than of my go to m105 and Flex but saved me time, about 25-30% less time, very easy to buff off.
Meguiar's has a winner here , it will completely change the way we correct bad clear coat/paints in the future.
Great job Meguiar's on this new system you guys invented.
Five Star combo.
I haven't been this excited since I first tried the m105.
Looking forward to using the microfiber DA system on a daily basis being most of my jobs are on the worst side.
My my hired hand wasn't here with me today, can't wait to show him our new go to products for those really trashed finishes.
Oh, oh, one last thing, there was a scratch that was pretty bad, I wet sanded it by only using 1500 grit disk, to my amazement the MF cutting disk and the Correction Compound removed the left over sanding marks, another WOW!
Can you tell how excited I am right now!
