Has anybody used 0000 steel wool and lubricant to successfully polish all swirls out of a chrome bull bar?

Have you tried a chrome polish?

Yeah, by hand. It restores clarity but does not remove the swirls.

        Re: chrome polishing

I have often used 0000 steel wool on chrome with polish, but have not been able to remove swirls/scratches. Chrome is just too hard! It does wonders for all the lighter defects though!
