  • Meguiar's Ultimate Wash and Wax

I use Meguiar's Ultimate Wash and Wax once a week to wash my car. Here in South Africa we are on the metric system so I converted the dilution ratio 1oz on a gallon water works roughly to about 30ml on 4liter water.

Should 1gallon water be enough to wash a car? I have a hatchback it is not very big but I wash the tires and rims as well and think I am wasting a lot of product and water.

Secondly my soapy water doesn't seem to have nearly as much foam as what I have seen on videos. I get the water in the bucket and then add the 30ml of wash and wax and just mix it together then it almost looks like it is too "weak" to wash tje car decently.

Do you use a nozzle on your hose? If so, try shooting it on the shower or jet setting just before you measure 4 liters.

Re: Meguiar's Ultimate Wash and Wax

Suds/foam are really important, so no big deal there.

As far as wheels and tires, yeah, you probably are wasting a lot there. Not that it cant be done... you may want to save them till the end, and use an older sponge on those. A dedicated wheel cleaner, plus your left over soap, may do the job good then with less waste.
