I am in the process of restoring a old tool box. I have used ultimate compound on the paint to bring it back to life. I have also used ultimate polish. I want to use ultimate liquid wax but i may want to repaint the box next spring. Is there any problems using these products (silicone) if i want to repaint later? I would scuff the paint with a scotch pad before painting. What is the best product to use to remove all three products so i don't have a problem while painting? Thanks

Re: tool box restore
If you're going to scuff the surface with Scotch pad first, or sand it, etc we still recommend picking up a panel wipe to strip everything off. Most auto parts stores have at least a small body repair section, and there is almost always a 3M Wax & Grease Remover and that should do the trick nicely. Isopropyl Alcohol works well, but a proper panel wipe or Mineral Spirits will work better when painting follows.Michael Stoops
