  • Using UQD to apply Ult Paste Wax?

When I did my review of UPW, I noted that it dried quickly when applying it to the panels. Does anyone see any harm in using the Ult Quik Detaier to help in applying the UPW?

That's what I was going to say, I bought the paste because they were out og the liquid. I did notice how little of the paste wax I used to do the whole car, I barely made a dent in the can.

We would not recommend using UQD when applying Ultimate Paste Wax. Use of a QD spray may be helpful if you find you've over applied a wax and it's become a bit difficult to remove. In your situation, looking back at your review of the wax, it seems the only time it was at all difficult to spread was at the very start, before the pad became "primed" with the wax. You might want to try just getting a bit more wax on the pad when you start the whole process. The temperature you worked at, 55F, was borderline for applying any wax and it may have played a role, especially considering what sounds like too little product on the pad to start.

Thanks Mike, that's what I wanted to know.
