  • #82 and a PC for Holograms

Just how good will #82 work on holograms, light scratches, and swirls on black clearcoat using a PC set at 3 1/2 - 4 and a W8000 pad?? Also, is the W7000 pad recommended for use with #82?

    Hey,

If they are indeed rotary induced holograms, there will be two avenues to take:

    1. You can try Meguiar's #80 Speed Glaze with the PC and a W-8006 Polishing Pad. If that does not do it, you may need to move on to Meg's #83 Dual Action Cleaner Polish with a clean W-8006 pad. Run the PC at speed #5 and work either product until it is a light residue/dust. This may take 3-5 minutes over a 2'x2' area.

    2. If #83 does not remove it after a couple of attempts (though it probably will ), then you will need to have someone experienced in using the rotary buffer remove the marks.

As for the W-7006 Cutting Pad, Meguiar's does not recommend its use with the PC (ie. Rotary only).

    Please keep us posted!
