  • Washing DC, Eastern Market Tree Nuts on Pearl White Paint

Hello all! I spent 5 days in DC. My 2014 Pearl White Toyota Highlander has some nasty nut juice (I know, right?) that has seeped into the paint. I have clay barred the truck. It looks much better, but the juice has left orange and yellow stains on the pearl white. I have used the Meguiar's Ultimate Compound with a microfiber puff by hand , it has helped 40%. I have read the article on hating white cars, but like the article it is my wife's truck. So, I do have a Meguiar's DA machine, that has the setting up to 5. I have some cutting pads, buffing pads, and finishing pads. Thing is, the spots are about an inch or less, and my DA is so big in diameter. Can anyone give me some direction as to properly utilize the DA on these small spot treatments? What setting is safe? I made sure to wash and used the quick detailer to add some sort of wax after clay bar treatment. Thanks y'all!

You can get a smaller pad and backing plate such as a 4" combo or a 3" combo. Pictures would be of big help to see where they are actually located.

Thanks The Gus! I ordered the backing plate 3" as suggested with smaller cutting/polishing microfibers and buffing pads for my DA. I used the ultimate compound, and noticed it left a dull haze on the finish in small spots where I rubbed super hard.
      How do I post pics?
