Good day! I'm a newbie here and i would just like to ask when is the best time to apply the ultimate quik detailer? Before waxing (after washing) or after waxing? Thanks a lot in advance!

After waxing or after washing is my recommendation. But perhaps Michael Stoops can comment on whether or not UQD will interfere with a layer of wax. Also works really well as a drying aid. -

I use UQD just before waxing to remove any dust or water spots. I use UQD often just prior to using UQW as well. Mainly, I use UQD nearly every day to remove any dust in between washings.Jim

Quick detail sprays are designed to help you remove light dust and fingerprints without scratching the paint. They are intended to be used between washes as a means to keeping the vehicle clean all the time. There isn't a lot to gain by using one immediately after washing since you won't have any light dust on the car at that moment. They can be used to clean up those little areas where water runs out of trim just when you thought you had the car completely dry, but you can also use a spray wax for that. And really, a spray wax is a better choice here as they can be used during the drying of the car. Simply mist a bit onto a panel while drying and you'll boost your existing wax protection in the process.
Keep the quick detailer for the next day after dust has settled on the car while it sat in the parking lot at work, waiting for you take it for a drive at the end of the day (even if that drive means being stuck in SoCal traffic on the 405 freeway every evening. Don't ask.).Michael Stoops

Wow! Good thing I asked here first, I was supposed to try to use the uqd before and after waxing just to see the difference, I wouldve wasted my uqd. Thank you guys for the info esp for the very detailed reply of Mr. Stoops. Really appreciate them all!Comment

Hello guys! Its me again! I already bought the UQW and used it twice since it rained here! Im so amazed with this product!!! I also watched the meguiars vid about UQD and UQW. I just have some clarification on how often should i use the UQW. Should i use it every single time i wash our car? Or just every week? Or everytime i use the UQD?
Since its the rainy season here in the Philippines and we dont have a garage, i always wash our car after the rain bec there are spots after it dried and im kinda afraid i might scratch the paint if i just use the UQD.

It doesn't really matter. How often do u wash ur car? Should b at least once a week, but like u said its ur rainy season so u may do it more. But I say go with each time u wash the car, but at least once a week if u don't wash ur car for 2 or 3 weeks. Do u use ULW and then UQW in between waxings? That's exactly what it's design for to give u that added boost of protection.Comment

An observation. After I wax or apply a sealant to the paint, the car's finish feels really slick. I notice that initially, right after this wax or sealant has been applied, dust and dirt doesn't get a grip to the paint and thus, it is easier to clean the next time I wash it. That added slickness almost makes the car self-cleaning as most dirt rinses off with the hose. This ultra-slickness fades after a wash or two and D156, a.k.a. UQW, after the wash replenishes that slickness. UQW also keeps the car looking freshly detailed. I apply it to most of the exterior of the car; glass, vinyl trim, wheels, virtually everything but the tires and rubber door seals. This only takes about 15-20 minutes as I don't need to be careful about the application and removal. It doesn't streak or dry white, so it is fine around emblems and cracks/crevices that normally would show wax residue. I really like using this product and use it religiously after every wash.Jim

Hi! Thank you for the replies and inputs! Um i wash our car everytime it rains and during the summer around once a week ... Since its the rainy season here i wash it almost everyday 😊 but if ithe car was just in the parking outside when it rained, i only use water to rinse the dirt. Like what Mr. Jim said, after nxt its easier to clean it so cool!!!
I havent used the ULQ yet. 😊 i use the UQW and UQD in between waxing (nxt or ww) 😊 but i guess i would have to use UQW more often since its always raining here ...Comment
