  • D157 Questions...

    So i was comparing D157 and M21 as a 2-4 month sealant. I saw that D157 can be applied to a wet car. Anybody tried this with success? I had a bottle of AA wax that could be applied wet and it really did work fantastic, but it's been discontinued. I just used it on my own truck anyway, but if D157 can be applied wet and work well - Score! it's a real time saver.

    Also, I saw the new 2014 catalog, and D157 is not listed in it - is it being phased out like APC+ ?

    D157 Synthetic X-Press Wax has been discontinued. Currently we do not have any liquid or paste waxes we advise to apply to a wet car. Our D156 Synthetic X-Press Spray Wax can be applied to a wet car, and will work to significantly extend the life of your original wax or sealant coating. It happens to be my favorite product, very quick application, doesn't dry white on trim, can be applied to a wet car, used in direct sun, and crazy high gloss for such an effortless application. It is the same product as our G17516 Ultimate Quik Wax. Hope this helps.

      Thanks for the response Nicholas, kinda a bummer. I do use D156 quite often (still have 7 gallons on the shelf!) and am a firm believer in its gloss and protection. I'm guessing M20 would be the closest to 157 as a replacement as far as sealants go.

          This is the first time I hear about M7. I doubt it's going away anytime soon.

              Hmmm, just looked over at meguiars.com (Canada) and I could NOT find M-7. It's still listed the U.S..

              Hopefully Mike will see this and be able to confirm one way or the other.

                Meguiar's #7 Show Car Glaze is still in current production and has not been discontinued, Canada or US. For locating this item in Canada it would be best to call the distributors in your province to see if they carry the product:

                  Hi Nicholas;

                  PBE is my distributor, and they told me it is discontinued by 3M, not them....maybe some info from someone at Meguiar's can get back to them if its not discontinued...
