Hi, I wanted to know what they mean by doubling up with ultimate wax? does it mean doing a 2nd coat immediately after applying the 1st coat or letting the 1st coat dry and then applying the 2nd.

    thanks much Ted

Not sure where you heard the term "doubling up", Ted, but we always recommend applying two thin coats of any wax just to ensure uniform coverage and appearance. The correct process for doing so is to apply the wax to all the painted surfaces of the car, let it dry fully, and wipe off. Then apply a second coat, let dry fully, and wipe off. With synthetics like Ultimate Wax the very best process would be to wait 12 hours between coats, but we understand that this is not always practical - doing the second coat immediately is not going to cause any appreciable difference.

        Ted, first off...WELCOME!

In Mikes first sentence, you see the words, "...two thin coats." Those are words to live by, THIN! So thin you may think you have not applied any product.

When Ult Wax (liquid) is going thru its' drying process, you may see some streaking. NOT to worry, as the 'wax' cures it will come out smooth.
