Do you any of you have experience with applying Meguiars Ultimate Wax to windows? I've seen on other forums that it works great but on the other hand, some report it hazing really bad. I would like to clay the windows on my cars and then apply some wax. Should I use QD with the clay kit or is there another lubricant you guys like for glass? Last question, do I need to wipe down the windows after claying with glass cleaner or will the wax take out any streaks, spots, etc... Thanks everyone.

Re: Waxing Glass
I wax my windows and have done it with UW, NXT, CG, UQW, ColorX and etc.
I have never experienced any hazing. However, waxing windows can cause some chattering when using your wipers.
No need to follow up with a glass cleaner. Once you have clayed your windows, just wipe it dry with a towel and proceed to your wax.2012 Acura CBP TL SH-AWD Tech

go with RainX
I've done a few different side-by-side tests and I suggest rainX instead of wax. Wax will repel water well, most waxes even last longer than rainX--especially ULW & UQW. The down side to the wax is when the rain water and road water dry. The waxed window will have a dirt haze to it. After repeated wetting/drying cycles the haze will be more pronounced. The same thing happens to the non-window surfaces of the vehicle. RainX does a far better job of minimizing this haze build up. Down side to rainX is its short durability.

Re: Waxing Glass
Some report hazing with RainX also, but works ok for me.
I tend to have RainX as my 'base layer', and then UQW everything as I dry the car, glass included.
I like glass cleaner after claying, but just me.2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue

Re: Waxing Glass
I have used UW, NXT/M21, UQW, M135 and LT (Last Touch) on my windows.
I only found that LT starts to haze on glass for me after a while. Everything else, I've had no problems withOriginally posted by BluelineI own a silver vehicle and a black vehicle owns me. The black one demands attention, washing, detailing, waxing and an occasional dinner out at a nice restaurant. The silver one demands nothing and it looks just fine. I think the black vehicle is taking advantage of me, and the silver car is more my style. We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

Re: Waxing Glass
This thread is a few days old, however, I have to add my experience with Ultimate Paste Wax on my windshield. EXCELLENT!!! Yesterday we had a huge downpour on the Interstate from Rochester to Buffalo, and I only used the wipers the few times a car passed me. The fine mist those cars kicked up did not bead and blow off as fast. The beading and blow off is not as effective at slow speeds, but at 70 or so it is marvelous.
