  • wrong towels?

if I am understanding what I am reading in a lot of threads the towels I use to dry are causing scratches and swirl marks. if this is true what should I be using? what should I be using to wash with. I have a microfiber washmit and a sponge.

Don't use bath towels to dry with. Use quality waffle weave or plush microfiber towels.

Invest in a quality microfiber wash mitt like the Meguiar's one as well as a 2-3 water magnets. Bath towels and terry towels are not the best for drying a car. I would also recommend the supreme shine microfiber towels.

I know back in the day the car washes would use regular towels to dry your vehicle off. I don't know what they use now.

I agree with the guz. However I say 2 meguiars water magnets will b enuf. And then go on amazon or eBay and get a box of 40 meguiars supreme shine microfiber for around $70 is the bulk deal, but if u can't afford that then just get as many as u can afford. It's just cheat cheaper buying in bulk. And if u can afford throw a few ultimate wipes in there too.

But I'm a big supporter if meguiars products just cuz the quality is so good, u wouldn't b wasting ur money trying something new.

                    Re: wrong towels?

Waffle weave towels are best for drying your car. The Rag company and Autogeek are good places to shop for the towels.

There are many places to buy high quality microfiber towels these days but Autogeek would not be one of them if you buy in bulk.
