we have very hard water here and I spend more time drying and removing water spots than I do washing the car. if you don not get every drop off it leaves a spot. does any one have any tips? water filters-or products. thanks for any help.

    Re: hard water

Do you have a water softener in your home? If so, use that water rather than the outside hose; it may take a couple of trips to fill the buckets, but what you're doing is time consuming anyway. I guess the other option is to find an 'environmentally friendly' car wash that filters the water.

I have read that adding a little rinseless wash into a a bucket of soap and water can act as a water conditioner.

Research the Gary Dean rinseless wash method. It can be done rather economicly with just 1 gallon of store bought distilled water. Simply invest in Meguiars D114 sold in the gallon and viola. Look it up on youtube.
