  • Protecting headlights (UV Filter)

    Hello.I polished my headlights after i wetsanded them.Is there any product so they stay clear for a long time ?

    I have seen the Headlight Protector by Meguiars.

    Anyone used it ?

    You can use the headlight protectant. It is recommended to be used every 6-8 weeks to keep them from yellowing again. You could also use a coat or 2 of a synthetic wax like ultimate wax. Application is similar to the headlight protectant. If you are looking for a permanent solution than either look into optimum opti-lens or x-pel protective film.

    What I do is use ultimate wax on the headlights and every other wash I will use ultimate quik wax to maintain them for a little bit until they need another application of ultimate wax.

      Which applicator pad should i use for the Meguiars Headlight Protector ?Id like to use a pad only for headlights.Can u link me a meguiars pad ?

        Any typical foam applicator pad is fine.


        A quick tip is to label the back of the pad with a sharpie. That way you know what it's for. It's also a good idea to clean the pads after being used.

          Also, when you clean/polish the car, or cleaner/wax, just go over the headlights as well, and then wax with the rest of the car as well.
