I detailed my truck Tuesday, yes I did it again. I has been a month.
This will be the last detail till the end of the summer as the job is calling my name again.
Anyway... here is what I did:
1. #80 Speed Glaze
2. #81 Hand Polish
3. NXT Tech Wax (2 coats)
Just a month ago I applied #80/#21 while it was still fresh in my mind I wanted to do the NXT combo. As I thought after my application of #21 NXT gives me just a little more depth. I still give the slight edge to NXT, #21 is a great product and if NXT wasn't around #21 would be the one to go to. Both apply and remove just as easy and both are worth the asking price.
My thoughts on #80... I have used it 3 times now and with each application I fine tune it. On my detail this week I was able to get nearly perfect results and couldn't be happier, best it has ever looked! I worked it in longer and got the feel of what it should look like after I am done working it in, the pics on MOL really helped. There were some annoying very fine scratches the dealer installed that no longer show up!
My thoughts on #81... I have used it many times now and couldn't be happier. When I went to apply it during my #21 detail a month ago I had a little trouble with it and it seemed to remove some of the depth, might have been the outside temp, not sure but its a little warmer now. I also remembered a nice thin coat works best and once the pad is primed you are ready to fly and will not have any trouble.
I think it was 2000... but he said he really liked the #80/#81 on black I am in that boat too!
This is the best combo I have found on my truck, I will keep playing around if I find something even better great if not this is perfect for me.
I know, I will do it myself:
You know what my truck looks like...
Thanks for listening.
