  • Installing front end car bra after waxing

After giving my SUV the works (wash, clay, ultimate compound, polish and 2 coats of wax), I noticed how chipped up my front end paint and bumper were, so I ordered a front end bra from my SUV. Received the bra and was going through the directions and under "Preparation", I see: "DO NOT INSTALL the Front Mask immediately after waxing the vehicle. Most waxes contain some moisture and should be allowed to dry before installing the front mask." I did just wax the vehicle but that was 3 weeks ago. Has the wax had time to dry?? Is that "immediately"? I guess I'm asking is, how long does it take wax to "dry" (whatever that means) and what does "immediately" mean to you all? Thanks for your input.

You should be ok now. One thing is before putting your bra on just member that after while being on your vehicle the paint may fade around in. I had a bra on mine and you can see where the bra was. Over the years the paint color changed and the paint under the bra stayed the same has the day I bought the car. Some people say your better off using the clear bra. It's a plastic cover that is see thru that you put on your vehicle.
    Don't get caught riding dirty!

I would agree with the clear bra, not only does a regular bra prevent the paint from aging like the rest of the vehicle, it also traps moisture and dirt and can do more damage than prevent it.
