  • Pollen insanity

I go to great lengths to keep my car looking pretty sharp as much as possible, however i live in the Boston area and the pollen is horrible this year , i keep a coat of wax on my car ( meguiars quick wax of course) at least 3x a month but once it sits over night in my driveway it's coated with pollen , i do have a tree in my driveway(the tree does not over hang to much over my car) reason for this post is , can i do anything to help prevent the pollen from adhering to my car so much is there a product i can buy at my local auto parts store or online that will help this issue !

Some options to fight with pollen nightmare: car cover, frequent use of quick detailer/waterless wash to remove a fresh layer, car washing/quick wax regularly.

      A garage?

...But seriously, you mentioned you wax with Quik Wax. Is there a coat of traditional wax on it too? That could help with the pollen not sticking..

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

Northern Alabama is in the same situation, honestly nothing you can do about the buildup of pollen. I've used countless different sealants and waxes, but the pollen is so thick here, the buildup is the same. What the frequent waxing does though, is allow you to wash the pollen away using proper methods much easier and more safely.

I think the pollen is on its way out pretty soon, but until then we just have to endure!

Thank you very much Greg and Hawk for your advice , I do however use wax and wash my car within reason about 1-2 a week so you can imagine how clean I keep it , its midnight black so when the pollen hits its pretty evident , I just spray it off and thats about it !
          Thank you again -
